MÌREL is a fine jewelry house founded by designer Mirel Baysal. Inspired by Byzantine mosaics, celestial light, and the enduring beauty of heirlooms, MÌREL is where centuries-old craftsmanship meets modern design. Each piece is created with intention, merging intricate detail with bold, architectural forms that feel both timeless and distinctly contemporary.
The hidden blue diamond
Every piece holds a quiet secret: a hidden blue diamond, set inside, visible only to the wearer. A charm known only to you, alongside the brand’s signature Starlight motif.
18K gold, made by hand in Istanbul
Each piece is handcrafted in 18k gold by master artisans in Istanbul, Turkey, using ethically sourced diamonds and precious stones. Every design begins as a sketch drawn by Mirel’s own hand, then takes shape in gold over weeks of setting, finishing and polishing.
Master artisans
From the precision of micromosaic to meticulously set gemstones, MÌREL preserves artisanal techniques. Micromosaic, the Byzantine art of composing a picture from thousands of tiny glass tesserae, is practised today by only a handful of workshops; each MÌREL mosaic is laid by hand, one piece at a time.

MÌREL pieces are made at an atelier certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council, the standard for responsible practices across the jewelry supply chain, from the sourcing of gold and stones to the hands that set them. Our diamonds and precious stones are ethically sourced.

Mirel Baysal
From an early age, Mirel was drawn to the past. She spent her childhood wandering the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, collecting treasures instead of souvenirs, captivated by the quiet permanence of gold, gemstones, and history itself. Though she studied Government and Economics at Harvard and built a career on Wall Street, her heart remained in the world of design, where art, craft, and meaning converge.
Every piece begins as a sketch, drawn by her own hand. Inspired by Byzantine mosaics, celestial light, and the way stars seem to shimmer when slightly out of focus, her designs feel both architectural and ethereal. And within each piece, there is something just for the wearer: a hidden blue diamond, a charm at the end of a necklace, a secret detail known only to the one who wears it.
